October snaps

HALLOWEEN

We were invited to spend Halloween with Chad, Elizabeth and Olivia Korach in Long Island. Oliver had a wonderful time following Olivia around, and I believe the affection was mutual.

We went trick or treating with their neighbors - a new experience in daylight hours - but it was a lot of fun.

Grandparents visit

The Rivers came up to Brooklyn and stayed with us in September.
We had a great time, touring all over Brooklyn and Manhattan, taking in tacos and chocolate in Williamsburg, Vietnamese sandwiches in Chinatown, the Brooklyn Flea, the Dumbo Arts Festival, the High Line and more. They even stayed with Oliver on our 6th anniversary, allowing us an escape into the city for the entire night. What more can you want? It was so nice having them there and hard to say goodbye.

Baltimore visit

We went to visit the Powells in Baltimore for a long weekend at the end of September. It was a nice weekend for all to catch up and Oliver and Cooper seemed to really enjoy playing together, along with Stella the dog.

Bacon bandaids

Oliver went through a phase recently where he was obssessed with booboos and bandaids. Most of the time, they were less a necessity and more of a calming agent. One day Oliver had a booboo on his mouth and asked for a bandaid. I tried to explain it wouldn't stick very well to his lips, but he was persistant and the next thing I knew, I turned around to find he

had made it work.

The bacon bandaids were a gift, considering our love of that particular pork product, and it adds a new twist to the standard bandaid. Needless to say, Oliver has now used up our supply.
