5th Avenue Festival

Every year, the 5th Ave BID hosts a festival along 5th Avenue in Brooklyn. The festivities run just about the entire length of the street, from Flatbush all the way to 12th Street in Park Slope. We took a stroll up and down, soaking up the car free environment, the rainy weather and a few local brews. Oliver spent some time in a bouncy Elmo castle where he was clearly under the recommended age limit. He could barely keep to his feet and exited with a couple of new bruises but he loved every moment of it.

We also sent him through an inflatable ladder and slide thingy. This he loved as well, but he wasn't as fearless as he normally can be when it came to conquering the steep sloped "ladder." He mainly served as a speedbump to other passing children until he got some assistance with the ascent.
